Letter Home

Dear Parents,

This week as always, has been very fun. To begin with we have been making really cool Native masks that match our tribe. To make our masks we researched using Rex kids on the internet. We typed our tribes name and masks and we then printed out the mask that we wanted. Our class went to Mr. Smith's and used plaster to make our masks. Some of the masks didnt come off our faces which kinda hurt! But the pain was worth it because the masks are going to be awesome. Anther thing we did this week is we finished Gulliver's Travels. This book was about a guy who crashed and went to Lulliput land. In Lulliput he was giant. Then he escaped and went to the land of giants. The book was wonderful. Now you can see we have been working very hard.

Sincerely,

Your Third Grader Leader

PS We are looking forward to our Native American Day!

Poetry experience

We had a wonderful time today listening and learning from a published poetry author from Seattle. She helped peak students interest in the writing process.
